Parks and Recreation
Huron Consulting's experience with park and recreational facilities typically involves designing in environmentally-sensitive areas with historic properties. Our three-part philosophy to park design is to: use sustainable design features such as bio-retention areas and pervious pavement as much as possible; create an easily-accessible and user-friendly environment that attracts park users of all ages; and consider the economic impacts and life-cycle costs of design features. Our portfolio includes ball fields, concession buildings, entertainment structures, skate parks, trails and playgrounds.
